It's fair to say that every single one of us wants to improve ourselves right?

Whether it's in work, relationships and most commonly with our body shapes.

We want to get fitter, we want to get lighter, we want to tone up, we are all trying to make little (or big) improvements.

DO most people get to their goals?

In my 9 years in the industry I must unfortunately say NO

Why?

There's so much support out there online or in the gyms.

Whether you're going it alone or part of a program then you can guarantee that for weight loss there will be the two main focuses:

1. Exercise

2. Food (you'd hope anyway!)

There is a third!

In my opinion it can actually be more important than the other two.

Focus / Mindset

This side of things is not even looked into on many programs or if you try to do it alone.

Knowledge of exercises to do and what foods are healthy don't get you out of bed in the morning when it's dark and raining.

Knowledge doesn't make you resist the chocolate cake which has been bought by the other half for you.

Knowledge doesn't stop you eating the kids left overs because you don't want to waste it.

MINDSET DOES

The good news is that just like your muscles being trained you can do this to the brain too.

I'm proud to say at Fitter Body Ladies this is a cornerstone of our coaching.

This week we launched our brand new 8 Week Mindset & Motivation course.

We had a brilliant turn out for our first session on Monday.

I can't wait to see the results following this course.

Each week will be going over topics such as:

- Self audit and goal setting

- Meditation and breathing

- Most important behaviours for fat loss

- How to become more resilient

- Overcoming setbacks

And much more!

So have a think about what you're trying to achieve and whether you program ticks the 'mindset' box.

If it doesn't and you'd like to take advantage of our new 8 week mindset course then it is included in our membership. I've got one space left for this month if not you will have to wait until March.

Reply back with 'February' to book the last remaining place.

Have a great day,

Jamie

The first full week of the New Year is nearly done.

How has it gone for you?

The start to this year is like no other and it's so easy to get swept up in the negativity and getting scared and obsessed with the news.

I admit I don't tend to make full resolutions in the New Year, I like to just work on little things at a time.

One thing I'm working on (since just before Christmas) is reading the news less, I used to check 5-6 times a day and 95% of the stuff on there is negative and makes you feel like s**t!

I'm going to still make sure I'm aware of what's going on but I could see the negative impact it was having on my mood so since cutting it down I've been more present at home and happier 🙂

The pandemic may have changed our lives but it doesn't have to change everything.

- Why should the pandemic impact:
- enjoying a nice meal with your family/partner
- going out for a nice long walk on a fresh sunny day
- reaching your weight loss goal
- progressing with your career and performing in work
- improving your strength/fitness

We have control over these things and we've never had more time to enjoy them.

That's what I'm feeling positive about.

I've created our best ever challenge for our members (drop a jeans size in January), I've enrolled onto a development course for me as a business owner (haven't had time to do this before) and I'm enjoying spending more time at home and trying new recipes.

Task for you:

WRITE DOWN (it's more powerful when it's written down)
3 things you feel positive about.

Save it on your phone, put it on the fridge and whenever you start to feel a bit negative remind yourself of this.

Have a great weekend!
